The Heart of ChurchGate
We want to serve the Lord by making room for brothers and sisters who feel far from fellowship. This is an invitation, not a business.
The Parable That Started It All
Imagine you received an invitation to a magnificent wedding feast. The invitation did not name a denomination. It simply said "Come to the celebration." When you arrive, you discover that the host has invited guests from every tradition, every culture, every walk of life.
Some guests are wearing formal suits, others traditional robes. Some sing hymns, others lift their hands in praise. Some pray with beads, others kneel in silence. Yet all are celebrating the same host, the same love, the same salvation.
This is the heart of ChurchGate: We don't all have to look the same to make room for one another.
The Problem We See
Some people stand near the door of a church and still feel outside. They may be shy, new to a place, hurt by rejection, or unsure how to return. We want them to know they are worth noticing.
Christians from different traditions already care for their neighbors in many ways. We hope to bring some of those people together, so a hesitant person meets a patient welcome rather than another demand.
ChurchGate cannot replace a local congregation. It can be one place to begin listening and finding the courage for a next step.
A Place to Begin
ChurchGate is a gathering place where people can look around, listen, and share when they are ready. We honor the churches and traditions they call home.
No Compromise
We don't ask anyone to abandon their beliefs or practices. Your tradition remains sacred. Your theology stays intact.
A Patient Welcome
We offer a place to notice one another and speak with kindness. We are working toward a responsible way for volunteers to welcome people who need encouragement.
Through Christ
Everything we do is centered on Jesus Christ, our one foundation and the head of the body.
The gate to God's kingdom isn't located in Vatican City, Constantinople, Geneva, Canterbury, or any earthly institution. It's not guarded by any denomination, controlled by any hierarchy, or accessed through any human system.
The gate is in your heart. The invitation is to a name: Jesus. When someone calls on that name in faith, they enter the kingdom. When they receive Him as Lord and Savior, they become part of the family.
This is why ChurchGate can welcome Orthodox and Protestant, Catholic and Pentecostal, Anglican and Baptist. We all entered through the same gate: Jesus Christ.
What we promise
We are not here to build a business or make a material profit. We offer what we can out of love for the Lord and for our brothers and sisters. A local church remains a person's home in ways a website cannot be.
